When I started Hype Hair Spa in 2010, I had a vision that it would be so much more than hair. I wanted it to be a place where you can come and be pampered, where nothing is more important than you. I have created a salon environment where hairdressers love to work and clients love to visit.

Now with over 25+ years of experience in the industry, I am committed to consistently providing my clients with new ideas and inspiration to ensure they have fabulous hair. I love building a connection and a relationship with my clients so their time at Hype is special, and I get to make every person who sits in my chair feel great about themselves. My passion is being a mentor and supporter to my team at Hype.​

Senior Stylist
Hi, I’m Fleur! I’ve been in the hair industry for over 25+ years, and I still absolutely love what I do. Many of those years were spent working in some of Auckland’s top salons, where I refined my skills, worked with some amazing stylists, and discovered how rewarding it is to make people feel confident and beautiful.

For me, hairdressing is all about care, connection, and confidence. I love taking the time to truly listen; to understand your hair, your lifestyle, and what makes you feel your best. My goal is for you to leave my chair not just loving your hair, but feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.
Outside the salon, I’m happiest spending time with my family, enjoying long walks outdoors, and spoiling my dog. I’m also a huge animal lover; any kind of furry or feathered friend always makes my day!

I’m so happy to be a part of the team here at Hype Hair Spa. I’ve been hairdressing since 2022 and I truly love every part of my job. I have a huge passion for styling, colouring, cutting, and of course, having great conversations with clients. Making people feel beautiful and confident—with a big smile on their face—is the best and most rewarding part of what I do.

Second Year Apprentice
Hi, I’m Jemma!
I’ve recently graduated from Servilles, and I’m so excited to now be working full-time at Hype Hair Spa after starting here part-time during my training. I absolutely love all things hair, especially blow drying and colouring, and I can’t wait to grow my skills even more with foiling, balayage, and hair extensions.

Being part of the Hype team is the best! I’m learning every day, and I love helping our clients leave the salon feeling amazing.

When I’m not at the salon, you’ll usually find me at the gym, hanging out with friends, or relaxing at the beach.

I have been working at Hype for 3 years now, and I am working part-time as I currently study Event Management at AUT. I am passionate about making clients feel special, as I do amazing head massages and global colours.

Cristy- Polish Junkie
Nail-Technician
Polish Nails was established in 2010, first in Albany, then moved to Milford before settling back in Albany at Hype. Cristy has been a nail technician for 20+ years and has a big following of clients who love her creative flair and her attention to detail.

Her skills are second to none, professionally and hygienically, she delivers beautiful nails every time. Cristy's number one priority is to provide her clients with a professional experience. With her vibrant personality, she loves to have fun with her clients, making each and every appointment a new experience.
